Kolapore received about 15 cm of snow in the past 24 hours.  Skiing will be good, although early skiers may need to break trail.  The County Forest parking lot is well plowed.  Parking may be a challenge at the main Kolapore parking lot.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Although the temperature got up to 0 at mid-day, the SE corner of Kolapore received some light snow, and no rain.  As I post this at 1:15, it continues to snow.  We just need some cooler weather now.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Because the trails received a considerable amount of use yesterday, they are relatively fast.  Conditions are good, but you may want to be careful on bigger hills.  Enjoy skiing today, because the forecast for Monday is crappy.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Because of a ski event, the County Forest parking lot is likely to be full much of the day.  I strongly recommend that you plan to use another access point.  The Kolapore parking lot is well plowed.  Kolapore Trail Guide

The snow keeps coming!  The snow last night was a little heavier because of mild temperatures.  The County Forest parking lot was well plowed this morning.  The main Kolapore parking lot was cleared late yesterday afternoon, and likely won't be cleared until late today (at best).   On Saturday February 1 there will be a ski event starting from the County Forest parking lot.  The lot is likely to be full much of the day, so please plan to find an alternate parking location (e.g., the main Kolapore parking lot.)  Kolapore Trail Guide

It's been a while since we have sen this much snow in Kolapore. With the wind and heavy snow load earlier in the week, we've seen some branches and a few trees down. If you can safely, please remove branches from the trail as you go. It's good Trail Karma. Please also report any major issues to us. We will get a volunteer out as soon as possible.

Reminder that the Kolapore Loppet is on Saturday Feb 1. The event is fully sold out. There will be more skiers on the trails than usual but they are generally nice people. Please use trail etiquette "Track Please" at convenient spots in order to pass, downhill skiers have right of way and call "Track" when descending big hills like Wild Mouse to give people warning.

Also note that the County Forest South Parking will be full with event participants. Please consider parking at the Town Line access point if you are skiing the south end.

Kolapore received over 10 cm of new snow.  Ski conditions should be great if you don't mind breaking trail initially.  Parking may be a challenge, particularly at the main Kolapore parking lot.  The snowplow contractor there likely won't show up until later today.  The County Forest parking lot is well cleared.  Kolapore Trail Guide

I went out this morning, hoping to beat the strong winds.  I came across three significant branches directly in the ski track, and lots of small branches and twigs that had fallen overnight or this morning.  I would recommend against skiing this afternoon as the winds become even stronger.  After the storm, please help all skiers by playing "Pick Up
Sticks".  Conditions are very good.  Kolapore Trail Guide

As of 6 AM, Kolapore had received about 8 cm of snow overnight.  There should be some good skiing today.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Overnight Kolapore received a cm or two of new snow.  Conditions on most trails should be good to excellent.  Most of the problem wet spots should have frozen.  Get out and enjoy!  Kolapore Trail Guide
