Sadly, today marked the end of a stretch of great skiing conditions.  Kolapore received rain and temperatures have now dropped.  The trails are likely to be crusty/icy until we get some fresh snow, or warmer temperatures soften the snow.  I would recommend staying off the trails.  Kolapore Trail Guide 

Skiing for the past week has been "as good as it gets" at Kolapore.  Saturday should still be good.  However, that will likely end on Saturday evening with the predicted "mixed precipitation".  Kolapore Trail Guide

Ski conditions on the Kolapore Trails remain very good.  We had 5+ cm of new snow yesterday, which helped to freshen the trails.  Get out and enjoy the great skiing before the +4 and "mixed precipitation" that's forecast for Sunday.  Kolapore Trail Guide

I did a long Kolapore ski today, and conditions were about as good as you get at Kolapore.  The trails generally have good tracks.  The light flurries today helped to freshen the trails.  There are still a few branches and trees down from the wind storm last weekend.  If you can, please help clear the trails.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Kolapore received another 5+ cm of snow today.  Conditions are generally excellent on the trails, with substantial new snow on a firm base.  The trails are gradually getting skied-in after the heavy snowfall on Monday.  Trail breaking is reasonably easy.   The parking lot was plowed on Tuesday.  Because of the recent strong winds, there are many branches and some trees down.  If possible, please remove branches.  If the job is too big send an e-mail to info@kolaporetrails.org, and we'll see what we can do, although some clearing will have to wait until the spring.  Kolapore Trail Guide

Today was great!  And sooo beautiful!  More trail breaking to be done but it’s not tough as it’s still light and fluffy. I had to ski county forest side as lot was not plowed in the morning but was plowed by 11:30am.    Enjoy!!

Kolapore received about 15 cm of snow last night and this morning, and squalls are continuing as I write this at 2 PM.   This new snow is on top of a substantial base that survived the rain that fell on Saturday night/Sunday morning.  When conditions settle down tomorrow there should be some good skiing, if you are willing to break trail. Kolapore didn't sustain much damage from the freezing drizzle/ice pellets that came down last night.  I did a ski in County Forest this morning, and would rate conditions as at least "good".  The ice granules are fine enough that they actually put a bit of fresh surface in the track.  That being said, the trails have been heavily used since the last significant snowfall, and trails will be well packed and fast.  Kolapore Trail Guide  

The Kolapore Trails still have good skiing conditions in most areas, but there was lots of use on the weekend, and many of the hills are very fast.  We had a cm or two of light powder this morning, which will help a bit.  The snow gauge is at 43 cm (17"), and much of that is a firm base.  Kolapore Trail Guide
